Position: Agribusiness Coordinator
Salary per month: 3,000,000MNT – 4,000,000MNT
Duration of the contract: Until October 2024
Objective of the position
The coordinator will assist in the successful implementation of the primary components under the BEST Program with a primary focus on agriculture and food production sectors, oversee, provide guidance, communicate regularly to Project Officers, and provide consultancy services, training and workshops to SMEs in agriculture and food production sectors.
Main Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly to project officers the activities to be completed;
- Oversee project officers, ensuring they follow the annual work plan;
- Conduct periodic meetings with project officers to address the progress of the work plan and any impediments;
- Coordinate the activities involving SMEs in agriculture and food production sectors and ensure that planned activities are carried out;
- Provide technical and administrative support on the implementation of the project activities;
- Facilitate any relevant meetings, training, workshops and events;
- Provide one-on-one consultancy service and long-term coaching service to SMEs;
- Periodically visit field locations to have first-hand knowledge of the situation;
- Draft and develop trainer’s manuals providing step-by-step guidance to program officers on delivering training and consulting services to SMEs in agriculture and food production sectors;
- Be responsible for promotion and marketing activities to support the agricultural activities;
- Communicate with video and publishing houses, make suggestions on filming and layout production
- Ensure USAID policies and procedures regarding food security are disseminated to all project staff;
- Ensure all procedures are in compliance with relevant laws and procedures of Mongolia and USAID;
- Maintain regular communication with Project Manager to discuss progress and possible need for adjustments or modifications to the work plan;
- Work closely with the Program manager to develop Quarterly Progress Reports and Annual Reports for submission to USAID;
- Other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Bachelor or higher degree in Agricultural Economics, Natural Resources Management, Business Administration or relevant field is required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in helping deliver the type of outputs specified above
- Good understanding of the Mongolian agriculture and SME environment
- Good communication and writing skills
- Strong initiative and teamwork skills
- Ability to travel as needed to program locations.

The program is being implemented in Orkhon, Selenge, Dornogovi, Zavkhan, Hovd, Overkhangai, Khentii, Bayankhongor, Dornod, Umungovi and Khuvsgul provinces.
