Happy to be able to apply the acquired knowledge in my life

The housing was built using the project’s construction manual

Ergan Tilegen is a client of the GER Initiative, who not only applies what he has learned and implements it, but also teaches it to others.

T.Ergan is a veterinarian and has been in regular contact with the project since the establishment of the GER Initiative.

He started renting stalls and selling ready-made clothes at the market in 2005, just like everyone else. He was always on the lookout for new ideas and information. In September 2006, he heard about the GER Initiative on television and learned that the project provides a wide range of services, including business advice, training, and information to small and medium-sized businesses and ger area residents.

He met with the project's business consultant, registered as a client, and started a logbook to keep records. Since then, he has been visiting the project site regularly, buying the “Initiative” newspaper and getting the information he needs. He also began to implement in his business a lot of good information from the newspaper.

Ergan also raises chickens, and in 2007 received professional project training or chicken training to learn more about chicken farming and to share his knowledge with others. In September 2008, he organized a training and business trip for project clients at the request of the GER Initiative. Subsequently, the trainees decided to buy chickens from Ergan in the spring.

In addition, he bought a book on “Budgeting and Construction of Workplaces and Housing” published by the project, took a loan from a bank to build a house, calculated the construction budget himself, and built a new house over his older house, and this is a manifestation of his determination to utilize any newfound knowledge.

Ergan is a hard-working man who now runs a farm, and has increased the number of chickens to 200- 300 and is aiming to start a large farming business.

Client feedback:

“It helps to get regular information from the project to improve your knowledge, and get ideas as a guide for your personal life and business.” Mr. Ergan said, “Thank you to the GER Initiative team.”
