Small businesses need support

As a result of attending loan training and keeping a record book, I am using my loan well for its intended purpose.

Tsendbaatar, a resident of Choibalsan, Dornod aimag, used to make wood flooring and brooms at his home and sell them at the “Shur” market. His company now supplies 100 brooms every month to the Dornod Region’s Energy System SOE , thanks to him using the Ger Initiative project’s business connection services in October, 2006. Due to the lack of working capital to make the first connection, he had to borrow raw materials from another client of the project to make brooms and paid off the debt with the revenue from the order. After executing the order, he finally had enough monetary assets to take on more orders.

In December 2006, his main equipment for work, the saw frame, deteriorated, so he borrowed 300,000 MNT from the project's 50 percent financing, and bought a good quality saw frame to increase productivity.

In addition, as a result of attending loan training and keeping a record book, he was able to use his loans well and plan his income and expenses. He got a working space with a 500,000 MNT bank brokerage loan. In addition to routinely supplying work brooms to Dornod Region’s Energy System SOE, the company has started to supply brooms to other companies (Aduun Chuluun LLC, Public Utilities, Amtlag Khuns LLC) on a regular basis.

Now he aims to expand his business and work with others.

Client feedback:

"In the beginning, people didn't even consider me an entrepreneur," he said. But the GER Initiative, which supports small and medium-sized businesses, has always considered me an entrepreneur, and I have always been grateful for their support, loans, business connectivity services, and support in my life. ”
