Position: Project officer

Duration of the contract: A year (with possible extension by evaluation result)

Switching On the Green Economy (SOGE) 3-year project’s overall objective is to contribute to progressive transition to low-carbon, resource-efficient circular economy and accelerated poverty reduction in Mongolia.

Development Solutions (DS), People in Need (PIN), Mongolia Sustainable Finance Association (MSFA) and Caritas Czech Republic (CCR), bring unique technical expertise and experience to support MSMEs and retailers in gradual adoption of more sustainable business models and complement national efforts to put in place and scale up a fair and transparent system for green certification and eco-labelling.

Development Solutions NGO Established in August 2008, Development Solutions is a Mongolian non-governmental organization (NGO) that strives to achieve its goals and mission through implementing programs and projects with a support of donor organizations such as USAID, Oyu Tolgoi, KOICA, Asian Foundation UN etc. Our mission is to improve the quality of community life, develop Mongolian business capacity and support environmentally responsible social and economic growth through innovative, effective and best solutions.

Objective of the position

With a close collaboration with program and operation team of partner organizations to work and assist in the implementation of the project under the supervision of the project coordinator. (S)he will be responsible overall project implementation activity and ensure that the project is moving on time within the scope of framework.

Main Responsibilities

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Bachelor or Higher Degree in Business administration or related field
  • Relevant experience in SME sector preferred;
  • Relevant experience in delivery of capacity building activities including business trainings and consultations preferred;
  • Good understanding of business environment;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English;
